Name Tags for all Industries
Name tags are appropriate for a vast variety of applications. They can
be plain or fancy. They can announce a person’s name and where they work.
There are many common uses for name tags.
1. Retail store clerks. From the grocery store clerk to the cashier where
your favorite fashions are sold, name tags are often worn. They make it
easy for customers to speak freely to the clerk or cashier. They also
enhance a customer’s ability to speak to management about service issues,
whether complaining about or praising the worker.
2. Salespersons. Sales is a fast-paced business where any short-cuts
available are welcomed. Name tags offer a quick greeting and an invitation
to request assistance by their very nature. When customers know the name
of salespersons, they can easily do business with them. It helps both the
sales worker and the customer.
3. Volunteer workers. Blank name badges can be ordered that can be filled
in at the last minute. These name tags are good for volunteer workers at a
special event. Sometimes, volunteers get together to build a playground or
remodel a home. Getting the work done requires that supervisors know how
to address the workers. Name tags make the day run smoother.
4. Conventions. People usually come to conventions from various places
around a region, the US, or even the world. They rarely know very many
people when they first arrive. Name tags allow people to become acquainted
faster and to remember each other’s names throughout the convention. Bonds
are often made that last a lifetime. It is interesting that name tags
often play a part in this.
5. Seminars or classes. People who lead seminars usually like to know the
names of at least some of the participants. This makes the atmosphere more
pleasant and somewhat informal. Classes also go better when the
instructors are familiar with the students. Name tags make it easy for the
instructor to conduct the class without constantly asking for names or
pointing at people.
6. Service businesses. People who come into your home to provide a service
should always be wearing name tags. It is best if their name tags are
specifically designed with their company logo. This makes them appear more
professional. It also shows that they work for that company, and provides
a certain sense of security when dealing with strangers in your home.
7. Large family reunions. When the core family gets together with second
cousins, third cousins, and all children and in-laws, name tags keep
everyone in the know. The peel and stick blank name tags can be used in
this situation so that everyone can wear one even if they show up
unexpectedly. The name tags are very helpful when the older generations
and the younger generations do not know each other well.
